On 18 October, our complex welcomed the heads of the CIS Border Guard Committees, who had arrived in Minsk for a meeting.
The guests were welcomed by staff of the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex, led by Alexander Mikhailovich and Alexander Alexandrovich Metla.
Alexander Mikhailovich told the guests about our complex, while Alexander Alexandrovich conducted a guided tour.
The guests then visited the shooting area, where they fired deactivated weapons and knocked out a German tank with a 45 mm gun.
This was followed by a tour of the hangars housing operational military vehicles and the arrival of the armoured train at the platform of Sovetskaya Station.
In the PT-33 armoured wagon, Alexander Alexandrovich took his place in the commander's turret and began issuing commands to fire on the ‘enemy’. The guests took turns firing Maxim machine guns at full-height targets, while the 107 mm gun was used against stationary German tanks and a self-propelled gun, as well as a moving Sd.Kfz. 222 armoured car.
All targets were hit.
The complex's management then received thanks and a certificate from the guests, after which lunch was served and everyone sampled a modern version of soldiers' porridge.
