The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBefore the reenactment began, interactive entertainment areas were open for adults and younger visitors. Motya the Clown truly immersed the children and their parents in a cheerful atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"770\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8557-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThere was a tank crew school, a shooting range and a Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) activity area.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8602-1024x681.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8577-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8601-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tVisitors could go horse riding, ride a quad bike or paint a military vehicle with a brush. Alternatively, they could simply enjoy the swings and have an ice cream.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"770\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8589-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8593-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8569-1024x681.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tAs a bonus, the most active participants in the interactive activities were given the opportunity to ride in a real tank free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe highlight of the day was the reenactment of the Krevo Offensive.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8914-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Alexander Metla<\/strong>, Executive Director of the \u201cMemory of Afghanistan\u201d Foundation:<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>\u2014 Reenacting events from the First World War is a new project for the complex. Our first event devoted to this period, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travel.otzyv.by\/blog\/18-marta-v-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshel-den-pamyati-rannyaya-groza\/\">the \u201cEarly Thunderstorm\u201d Remembrance Day,<\/a> was well received by our visitors, so we decided to broaden the format and make it even more ambitious as part of a festival involving clubs and reenactors from CIS countries and neighbouring states.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThis was the last major operation on the Western Front. It took place in what is now Belarus amid the disintegration of the Russian Imperial Army and the anarchic revolutionary fervour that had swept through its ranks.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"770\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8623-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tRallies were held among the troops, soldiers\u2019 committees could overturn commanders\u2019 decisions, and desertion and the feigning of injuries to avoid fighting were increasingly common. Regular officers were forced literally to plead with the soldiers to attack.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"579\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8631-1024x770.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tUnder these circumstances, the operation was doomed to fail from the outset and was therefore postponed several times over the course of the year. However, the Provisional Government needed successes at the front. Who knows: had the operation succeeded, Russia might have followed a different path, but history does not deal in hypotheticals.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tKerensky, the Minister of War at the time, and his representatives visited the troops. They urged the soldiers to go into battle. The soldiers listened, then did precisely the opposite.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8642-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Krevo Offensive began with a massive artillery bombardment of the German positions. The enemy\u2019s first two defensive lines were literally swept away. The bombardment also finally reduced Krevo Castle to ruins.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8775-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8718-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Russian troops\u2019 attack swiftly overran the German Army\u2019s positions.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8706-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8699-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tHowever, on encountering the surviving third German defensive line, the Russian Imperial Army came under fire and began to suffer casualties.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"770\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8617-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8766-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe demoralised soldiers refused to continue the offensive, turned back and abandoned the captured enemy positions.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8824-1024x576.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tA handful of officers and soldiers who remained true to their oath went on the attack and fell on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8741-1024x576.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"577\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8810-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor two days, Bochkareva\u2019s Women\u2019s Battalion heroically defended its positions. Its members were known as the \u201cRussian Amazons\u201d. It was one of the few units to maintain discipline and remain true to its duty, but it could not determine the course of events.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8812-1024x681.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"770\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8820-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8822-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tHad it been victorious, the Provisional Government could have calmed the population, secured support from the Allied forces and brought the war to a victorious conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8837-1024x681.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tHowever, the collapse of discipline in the army prevented this plan from being realised and became one of the factors that helped the Bolsheviks come to power.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"512\" src=\"http:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2017\/2017-07-22-otchet\/IMGL8843-1024x681.jpg\" width=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe reenactors succeeded in creating an immersive atmosphere of the period.
