Belarus is just such a country. We want to build and create. Historically, our people have endured more than their fair share of wars, upheaval and destruction.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9363\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19971\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9363-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/>But to create, we must be able to defend what we have built. However much we may wish otherwise, we cannot do without the Armed Forces. Without defenders, the Fatherland may fall.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn 24 February 2018, at the <strong>Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex<\/strong> with the support of the <strong>Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus<\/strong> large-scale celebrations were held to mark the <strong>100th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and Defender of the Fatherland Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\tDespite the increasingly severe frost, thousands of people attended the celebrations. Visitors enjoyed displays of weapons and military vehicles, public festivities and a karaoke centre.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9374\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19972\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9374-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9377\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19973\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9377-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/> Those who wished could try firing military weapons\u2014with blank ammunition, of course. The cold is no obstacle to our people; it is an ally. The Children\u2019s Playground was also kept busy.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9393\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19974\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9393-1024x681.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/>Food outlets were set up throughout the complex, where visitors could sample army porridge and partake of the traditional soldiers\u2019 100 grams, as well as items from the regular menu.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9383\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19975\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9383-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/>Heated areas were available for those feeling the cold. One of them also served as a children\u2019s club.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9399\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19976\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9399-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_9403\" class=\"thumbnail aligncenter size-large wp-image-19977\" height=\"auto\" src=\"\/images\/News\/News2018\/my-mirnye-lyudi-no-nash-bronepoezd-stoit-na-zapasnom-puti-na-ikk-liniya-stalina-proshli-voennye-rekonstruktsii-priurochennye-k-23-fevralya\/IMG_9403-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/>The celebrations culminated in several military-historical reenactments, staged one after another without a break. Over the course of 40 minutes, almost a century of military history unfolded before the spectators\u2019 eyes: from the formation of the Red Army and episodes from the battles of the Great Patriotic War to scenes from the fighting in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn the final stage of the reenactment, personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus demonstrated one possible scenario for the development of an armed conflict under modern conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNo participants were actually injured during the \u201cfighting\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe reenactment featured restored military vehicles from the last century, as well as modern aircraft and armoured vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter the reenactment, dog handlers and paratroopers from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus gave demonstration performances.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe events concluded with a parade of participants.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIncidentally, the armoured train was mentioned at the beginning of this report for good reason. The Stalin Line restoration team has promised to unveil a <a href=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/en\/nashi-proekty\/proekty\/strojka-rw\/\" target=\"_self\">genuine restored armoured train<\/a>, which is currently waiting in the sidings.
