Both the scope of the event and the number of participants increase each year. This year, members of military-history clubs from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic took part in the reenactment. More than 140 people participated in the field.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0061-1024x576.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tVisitors were treated to a large-scale military-historical reenactment of events from the Great Patriotic War that took place on 28 June 1944 during the Bagration Belarusian Strategic Offensive Operation. This major offensive liberated the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic and almost completely destroyed the German Army Group Centre, leaving Germany unable to replace the losses it had sustained.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0064-2-1024x770.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tOriginal military vehicles took part in the reenactment, including the StuG III, T-34, SU-100 and T-44, as well as GAZ-67 vehicles and other machines.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0110-1024x683.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tDespite the rain, the spectator stands were full. Around 3,000 visitors attended the festival.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0018-1024x683.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tAt the end of the reenactment, the participants and spectators observed a minute\u2019s silence in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0148-1024x683.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe most active reenactment participants received certificates of commendation.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0157-1024x768.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tAs always, visitors to the complex could attend the Artillery School, take part in the \u201cOperation Bagration\u201d quiz and tackle the \u201cScout\u2019s Trail\u201d obstacle course, while Motya the Clown provided entertainment for children.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0005-1024x683.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stalin-line.by\/images\/News\/News2018\/2-iyulya-pod-minskom-proshel-festival-bagration-posvyashchennyj-dnyu-nezavisimosti-respubliki-belarus\/1\/IMG_0243-1024x923.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n\tGifts and souvenirs awaited the most active visitors, while the winners of the Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) competition had the opportunity to enjoy a Military Vehicle Ride free of charge as part of the extreme leisure programme.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPhoto: Vitaly Dorosh.
