\n\tOn 19 March, the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex near Minsk will host an Internal Troops Day event with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The event is dedicated to the professional holiday honouring those who maintain public order in the Republic of Belarus. Visitors will see a military-historical reenactment of the battle that took place on 18 March 1986 in the village of Sikhibkhan in Ghazni Province<\/a> (Afghanistan). <\/div>\n

\n\t\tThe Stalin Line complex has prepared a themed entertainment programme for residents and visitors to the Republic of Belarus. Everyone will be able to take part in a range of workshops, competitions and quizzes, laser tag contests and sword fighting, as well as enjoy quad bike and military vehicle rides. Visitors with children can look forward to a guided programme and opportunities to take photographs with military vehicles and artillery. A warm Family Room will also be available. The most active participants in the competitions and quizzes will receive certificates and valuable prizes.<\/div>\n

\n\t\tCool weather with precipitation is expected on Internal Troops Day, with temperatures ranging from +3 to +6 \u00b0C. We recommend that visitors dress warmly and bring umbrellas, raincoats and waterproof footwear. The organisers will also provide places where visitors can warm up.<\/div>\n

\n\t\tThe Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) fitness standards area at Stalin Line is now in its second year. Visitor interest in this activity continues to grow, with ever more people taking part. <\/div>\n
\n\t\tIn Samuil Marshak\u2019s well-known 1937 children\u2019s poem \u201cThe Story of an Unknown Hero\u201d, firefighters, police officers and photographers search for a twenty-year-old man who rescued a girl from a fire. Marshak gives his readers the following description: \u201cOf medium height, broad-shouldered and strong, wearing a white T-shirt and cap. The GTO badge is on his chest. Nothing else is known about him.\u201d <\/div>\n
\n\t\tThose completing the Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) fitness standards at Stalin Line need not be broad-shouldered and strong like the hero of the poem. We can, however, say with great confidence that they are strong in spirit: they are patriots!<\/div>\n
