Events begin at 13:00.
On 1 and 2 August 2015, the “Memory of Afghanistan” Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Internationalist Veterans, with the support and participation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus, will hold the 1st International Military-Historical Festival “Afghan Sky” at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex. The festival is dedicated to Paratroopers Day and the Special Operations Forces. Reenactment groups from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus will take part.
An exciting festive programme awaits you, featuring:
1. “A Salute to the Winged Infantry!”, a concert by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The concert begins at 13:00.
2. Alexander Mikhailovich Metla, Director of the “Memory of Afghanistan” Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Internationalist Veterans, will congratulate visitors to the complex on Paratroopers Day and the Day of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
3. A parachuting demonstration by the Republic of Belarus Air Force and Air Defence Forces team.
4. Hand-to-hand combat demonstrations by reconnaissance troops from the 120th Guards Independent Mechanised Brigade and special forces of the Western Operational Command.
5. A reenactment of the “Battle in Parwan Province”, featuring military-history clubs from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, as well as airmen from the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
Admission Prices:
1. Adults – 100,000 roubles;
2. Children (school pupils and full-time students) – 50,000 roubles;
3. Preschool children – free.
Admission tickets will be available from the ticket offices at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex on the day of the event.
We invite veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the war in Afghanistan, paratroopers and members of the Special Operations Forces, together with their families, as well as residents and visitors to Minsk and the Minsk Region, to take part in our events.
The Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex is located on the P28 road (Minsk–Molodechno), 20 km from the Minsk Ring Road.
Two paid car parks are available for visitors arriving by car.
An additional free unpaved car park with space for approximately 600–800 vehicles will be open during the event.
For visitors without their own transport, shared minibuses bound for Molodechno depart from the Druzhnaya bus terminal every 20 minutes. By paying the full fare, you can travel to the Stalin Line stop.
