On 18 and 25 February 2023, events marking the 105th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were held at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex, with the active participation of the Ministry of Defence.
The flags of the Ground Forces, Air Force, Special Operations Forces and General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were raised at the Historical and Cultural Complex.
The Ministry of Defence organised a concert for visitors, along with a major exhibition of military vehicles, weapons, equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Visitors could take photographs with reenactors and modern armoured vehicles, watch a display by military dog handlers, enjoy horse rides and try their hand at the laser shooting range.
The military also offered visitors the opportunity to fire blank rounds from an AKM assault rifle free of charge.
Military-historical reenactments began at 14:00. The first depicted episodes from the First World War, the formation of the Red Army, the Russian Civil War and military conscription.
The second depicted an episode from the Great Patriotic War.
This was followed by a scene from the Soviet–Afghan War.
The reenactments were followed by demonstrations by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. The programme concluded with a ceremonial march-past by all participants and an aerial parade. The aerial parade took place only on 18 February; on 25 February, it was cancelled due to unsuitable flying conditions.
