Internal Troops Day

On 19 March, the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex near Minsk will host an Internal Troops Day event with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The event is dedicated to the professional holiday honouring those who maintain public order in the Republic of Belarus. Visitors will see a military-historical reenactment of the battle that took place on 18 March 1986 in the village of Sikhibkhan in Ghazni Province (Afghanistan). 
The Stalin Line complex has prepared a themed entertainment programme for residents and visitors to the Republic of Belarus. Everyone will be able to take part in a range of workshops, competitions and quizzes, laser tag contests and sword fighting, as well as enjoy quad bike and military vehicle rides. Visitors with children can look forward to a guided programme and opportunities to take photographs with military vehicles and artillery. A warm Family Room will also be available. The most active participants in the competitions and quizzes will receive certificates and valuable prizes.
 
The event begins at 11:00 and ends at 16:00 Minsk time.
 
Cool weather with precipitation is expected on Internal Troops Day, with temperatures ranging from +3 to +6 °C. We recommend that visitors dress warmly and bring umbrellas, raincoats and waterproof footwear. The organisers will also provide places where visitors can warm up.

The Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) fitness standards area at Stalin Line is now in its second year. Visitor interest in this activity continues to grow, with ever more people taking part. 
In Samuil Marshak’s well-known 1937 children’s poem “The Story of an Unknown Hero”, firefighters, police officers and photographers search for a twenty-year-old man who rescued a girl from a fire. Marshak gives his readers the following description: “Of medium height, broad-shouldered and strong, wearing a white T-shirt and cap. The GTO badge is on his chest. Nothing else is known about him.” 
Those completing the Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) fitness standards at Stalin Line need not be broad-shouldered and strong like the hero of the poem. We can, however, say with great confidence that they are strong in spirit: they are patriots!

How to Get Here
The Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex is located at kilometre 31 of the P28 Minsk–Molodechno road, 20 km from the Minsk Ring Road.
For visitors without their own transport, shared minibuses bound for Molodechno depart from the Druzhnaya bus terminal every 20 minutes. By paying the full fare, you can travel to the Stalin Line stop.
Two purpose-built car parks with 800 spaces are available for visitors arriving by car.
 
Where can I buy a ticket?
Admission tickets can be purchased on the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex website or from the complex’s ticket offices on the day of the event.
Children aged 6 and under do not require a ticket and may enter the event free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Children aged 7 to 18 require a child ticket.
Tickets purchased online before 19 March: adults 130,000 roubles; children 50,000 roubles.
Tickets purchased online or from the complex’s ticket office on 19 March: adults 150,000 roubles; children 50,000 roubles.
 
How can I earn reward points and receive a souvenir?
During Internal Troops Day, the event grounds will host exciting entertainment programmes in dedicated interactive zones. These will include competitions featuring challenges that test visitors’ knowledge of military history.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the entertainment programme.
Visitors taking part in the interactive zones will receive reward tokens, which they can later exchange for Stalin Line souvenirs at the Gift Shop.
 
How can I enjoy a free military vehicle ride?
The most active visitors who win a prize in the Stalin Line Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) interactive zone will be able to enjoy a military vehicle ride and receive commemorative gifts.
Before entering competitions in the Stalin Line Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) interactive zone, participants must register with an instructor. The results of all registered participants will then be recorded at the Information Centre, where the winners will receive certificates and prizes.
