7, 8 and 9 May — Victory Day at Stalin Line

Daily from 11:00 to 18:00

9 May is the day on which the Soviet people celebrate their victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is a great day of shared remembrance, honoured not only in Belarus and the post-Soviet countries, but also in many other countries around the world that suffered at the hands of the German fascist invaders.

The Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex has become a traditional venue for Victory Day celebrations, welcoming veterans and their families, tens of thousands of residents and visitors to the Republic of Belarus, and all those who honour the traditions of its glorious and heroic past.

Daily from 11:00 to 18:00 on 7–9 May with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus, the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex near Minsk will host ceremonial events marking Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, including a performance by the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

The organisers have prepared a large-scale military-historical reenactment for residents and visitors to the Republic of Belarus, featuring military vehicles from the Great Patriotic War.

Historical Background — Berlin Offensive Operation.

More than a dozen interactive zones will be open to visitors. Throughout the complex, everyone will be able to test their knowledge in a history quiz, try airgun shooting and tank painting, and take part in fascinating workshops. Competition winners will be able to enjoy a free military vehicle ride as part of an extreme leisure programme.

Warm weather is forecast for the Victory Day celebrations, with temperatures of +18 to +23 °C. As rain is possible, we recommend that visitors bring umbrellas, waterproof clothing and waterproof footwear.

How to Get Here
The Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex is located at kilometre 31 of the P28 road (Minsk–Molodechno), 20 km from the Minsk Ring Road.
Visitors without their own transport can take a Minsk–Molodechno shared minibus from the Druzhnaya terminus. Services depart every 20 minutes; passengers paying the full fare can travel to the Stalin Line stop.
Two purpose-built car parks with 800 spaces are available for visitors arriving by car.

Please note! Traffic on the P28 road will be restricted on 7–9 May.

A large number of visitors are expected in connection with the Victory Day events. The management of the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex has therefore decided, jointly with
Minsktrans Municipal Transport Unitary Enterprise, to operate additional fare-paying buses on 7–9 May. The one-way fare will be 25,000 Belarusian roubles on route 448E, “Kuntsevshchina Bus Terminus – Stalin Line – Kuntsevshchina Bus Terminus”.
The first special-service buses will depart from Kamennaya Gorka Metro Station at 10:00 and will then run at 30-minute intervals. The final bus from Kamennaya Gorka Metro Station will depart at 17:20.

Where can I buy a ticket?
Admission tickets may be purchased on the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex website or from the complex ticket offices on the day of the event.
Children aged 6 and under do not require a ticket and may enter the event free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Children aged 7 to 18 require a child admission ticket.
Tickets purchased online by 6 May inclusive*: adults 150,000 roubles; children 70,000 roubles.
* Tickets purchased online will automatically be dated 9 May. Each ticket may be used for a single visit to the complex on any one of the following days — 7, 8 or 9 May.
Tickets purchased online from 7 to 9 May or from the complex ticket offices on event days: adults 200,000 roubles; children 90,000 roubles.
 
How can I enjoy a free military vehicle ride?
The most active visitors who win prizes in the Stalin Line Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) interactive zone will be able to enjoy a military vehicle ride.
Before entering competitions in the Stalin Line Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) interactive zone, participants must register with an instructor. The results of all registered participants will then be recorded at the Information Centre, where the winners will receive certificates and prizes.
