On 26 September, the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex will host one of the year’s most extreme motoring events: the “Battle of the Cars” survival derby.
From 12:00, the complex’s main car park will host an exhibition of unusual and rare vehicles. Visitors will be able to see military vehicles, classic cars and sports cars. A motorcycle exhibition will be held at the Aircraft Display, where the tough-looking but friendly members of the motorcycling community will display their machines.
Throughout the complex, visitors will be able to explore a wide range of military equipment, from early 20th-century guns to Soviet military vehicles from the period of the war in Afghanistan. Visitors can book a fascinating guided tour and even fire deactivated weapons, while a children’s playground is available for our youngest guests. Numerous food and drink outlets will operate on the day of the derby.
Before the derby begins, the competing cars will also be on display. Visitors will be able to take photographs with the participants’ battle-ready machines while they are still intact and vote for their favourite. Regardless of its result in the derby, the car receiving the most votes will win the Audience Choice Award.
The day’s main event, the “Battle of the Cars” survival derby, will begin at approximately 15:00.

Survival car battles are motorsport competitions involving full-contact driving. Competitors may ram any part of their opponents’ vehicles to put them out of action. There is only one rule in this type of derby: ramming the driver’s door is prohibited.
The derby will be held in two classes: Base and Unlim. The difference between the vehicles in these two classes is that Unlim vehicles have external impact-protection frames reinforcing their bodywork. All derby cars must be fitted with a roll cage, while the battery and a reduced-capacity fuel tank must be relocated inside the passenger compartment. The technical regulations are available here: http://arenaderby.by/dokumentaciya.html

Between the runs by the derby machines, real tanks will enter the arena to demonstrate the destructive power of their tracks against ordinary cars. Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will also give a demonstration of evacuating simulated passengers using specialist equipment.
A record prize fund of 25 million roubles has been provided for the derby winners. For the first time in the history of survival derbies in Belarus, the winners of the Base class will receive a larger prize than their Unlim counterparts.

The derby’s final runs will be enhanced by pyrotechnic effects accompanying every crushing impact, together with a fire-dance performance.

Following the awards ceremony, scheduled for 20:00, all visitors will be treated to a thrilling and mesmerising fire show by the Illizium team.
The main musical act accompanying the “Battle of the Cars” show will be ЯNKEY!
The programme will feature all the band’s hits, including popular tracks from its recently released album “On This Side of Myself”. ЯNKEY’s performance is an excellent reason to visit Stalin Line on Saturday and witness the “Battle of the Cars” survival derby for yourself. Belarus’s most spectacular extreme show and its most promising rock band come together for one event. ЯNKEY will set the event alight, both literally and figuratively! Come along — it is going to be hot!!!
