Reenactments at the Stalin Line, 27–28 June

Historical reenactments of the opening stages of the Great Patriotic War took place at the Stalin Line on 27–28 June 2015.

They were based on episodes from the fighting for Minsk on 26 June 1941. Businessman Iwahashi Kazuharu flew from distant Tokyo to join the ranks of Minsk’s defenders. He promotes Soviet military history in his homeland. Reenactors from Russia also supported us.

However, as is well known, despite the heroism displayed by Soviet soldiers of various nationalities, Minsk was captured by German Wehrmacht units. The reenactments ended in the same way: all pockets of Soviet resistance were suppressed, and the enemy continued its advance deeper into our homeland.
