The Monument of Honour, Friendship and Glory was built voluntarily by the residents of Starovičky in 1974–1975.
The Monument of Honour, Friendship and Glory, as it was originally named, was built by the residents of Starovičky through voluntary community labour in 1974 and 1975.
It was unveiled on 20 April 1975 by Ivan Stepanovich Mirenkov, who was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for the battle near Starovičky.

Every year, on the anniversary of the tank battle on 16 April, all those who remember the heroism and sacrifices of our Soviet liberators gather at the monument.
