50 mm Mortar

In 2019, the Finance and Logistics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs transferred to the complex a 50 mm mortar, Model 1940, which had been discovered during excavation work in the Gomel Region. 

It was heavily corroded, and some of its components were deformed. Sergei Zakharov restored the mortar’s appearance and deactivated it. The work was completed in time for Missile Forces and Artillery Day. Since November 2019, the 50 mm mortar has featured in reenactments of battles from the Great Patriotic War.
