Exhibition of the Soviet Militia at Stalin Line

On 30 October, the Control-16, Medveditsa and 02 military-history clubs from Minsk and Moscow held an interactive exhibition at Stalin Line. 

 

The exhibition featured uniforms, equipment and specialist equipment used by the Soviet militia between 1930 and 1991, as well as by law enforcement agencies in post-Soviet states.  

At the entrance to the complex, visitors were greeted by a reenactor dressed as a Soviet traffic police officer. At the entrance to the exhibition hall stood a ‘serviceman’ from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

 

Club members gave visitors an insight into the history of the militia. Visitors could handle weapons and specialist equipment used by Soviet law enforcement officers, see a chocolate bar in Soviet-era packaging, a period medical bag, various administrative documents and Soviet militia identity cards, take photographs with the reenactors  and try on their equipment.

 

The exhibition concluded with a formal parade and the presentation of commemorative certificates to the reenactors.
