22 June at Stalin Line

On 22 June, Stalin Line held an event marking the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. 

The event began at 03:40, when members of the Patriot and Shturm clubs lit memorial lamps at the Naval Brotherhood Monument. They then laid flowers at the Artillery Half-Caponier of the Minsk Fortified Region. At 12:00, a nationwide minute’s silence was observed at Stalin Line in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War. This was followed by a commemorative gathering at the bust of Generalissimo Stalin. Visitors from Belarus, Latvia and Russia, including some who had travelled from as far as Vladivostok, had the opportunity to be photographed with Soviet flags and the weapons of Victory. Staff of the complex prayed for those who died in the Great Patriotic War at the Chapel of the Holy Right-Believing Prince Alexander Nevsky.
