“Our Armoured Train” Exhibition

The “Our Armoured Train” railway exhibition at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex is now open to the public.

 It comprises a PT-33 armoured railway wagon armed with a turret-mounted 107 mm gun, a PR-35 armoured steam locomotive, a PL-42 armoured railway wagon with two 76 mm guns mounted in T-34 turrets, and an open railway wagon carrying a 37 mm anti-aircraft gun.

In addition to the armoured train, the exhibition includes a steam locomotive dating from 1933, a water crane for filling the locomotive with water, a railway bridge, a guarded level crossing with a crossing keeper’s hut, a wood store, a sawmill, and the station building and platform of Sovetskaya Station.

 

A guided tour of the armoured train may be booked, which also includes visits to two hangars housing operational military vehicles. A guided tour for a group of up to 20 people costs 28 roubles. For further information, please call +375 17 5121233 or email tourism@stalin-line.by.
