The Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex welcomed Amus and Samuil Levin, the sons of Boris Shmuilovich Levin, a hero of the Great Patriotic War.
Their father served as a mine specialist in a partisan detachment. He made mines of his own design, laid them on railway tracks and derailed German military trains. For his struggle against the enemy, Boris Levin was nominated for a hero’s title, but, like Zinovy Kolobanov, received a different state award.
Following the example of their father, who had defended his Soviet homeland, Amus and Samuil became defenders of their own homeland, the State of Israel. They have now visited Belarus, where their father was born and fought. The brothers are pleased that the Soviet period of history is treated with respect in our country and that the memory of the heroes who saved the world from German Nazism is honoured.
The complex’s management welcomed the guests with the Israeli flag. At Stalin Line, the Levin brothers not only connected with Soviet history but also enjoyed their visit.
