On 2 August 2025, the latest “Afghan Sky” Festival was held at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex with the support of the Ministry of Defence, marking Airborne Forces Day.
The central figure in the celebrations was internationalist veteran, reserve colonel and director of the “Memory of Afghanistan” Charitable Foundation Alexander Mikhailovich Metla — the man without whom our complex would not exist today.
At 14:00, parachutists demonstrated their skills. After they landed, Alexander Alexandrovich Metla, Executive Director of the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex, presented them with medals commemorating the complex’s 20th anniversary.
At 14:15, a reenactment of a battle from the Soviet–Afghan War began.
