Defenders of the Fatherland and Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Day at Stalin Line 2026

On 21 February 2026, Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex, with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus, held a special event marking Defenders of the Fatherland Day.

Visitors enjoyed a concert and a display by military dog handlers, celebrated Maslenitsa with tea and pancakes, took part in a Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) challenge area, and visited an interactive exhibition on dealing with the aftermath of radioactive contamination, organised by the “Shelter No. 49” reenactment group.

At 14:00, a Great Patriotic War battle reenactment began.

A visitor from Canada also took part in the reenactment on the side of the Red Army.

This was followed by an Afghan War battle reenactment.
