On 17 March 2018, the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex hosted major celebrations marking the centenary of the founding of the Internal Troops of the Republic of Belarus, with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
Despite the cold weather, the event attracted large numbers of visitors not only from Minsk, but also from other regions of Belarus.
Visitors were able to explore displays of historic military vehicles and modern specialist equipment.
Several interactive areas were open: visitors could test their knowledge in a history quiz, try airgun shooting, assemble and disassemble weapons, and take part in other workshops. The most active participants in the Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) area received certificates and valuable prizes.
The Song and Dance Ensemble of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus performed on the main stage.
The celebrations culminated in a military-theatrical performance featuring members of military-history clubs from across the country and personnel from special-purpose units of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
Over the course of an hour, spectators witnessed scenes depicting events from the century-long history of the Internal Troops, from the formation of their first units to modern special operations. According to visitors, it was one of the largest-scale performances in the history of the complex.
