Competition to Design the Best Memorial to Armoured Train Crews

The Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex held a competition to design the best memorial to the armoured train crews who fought heroically in the summer of 1941 and liberated our republic in 1944.

The competition resulted in the implementation of an idea by Alexander Mikhailovich Metla: the PR-35 armoured steam locomotive itself became the memorial, with a commemorative plaque mounted on it.
