Yuri Vladimirovich Perepechin, who headed the “Soldiers of Victory” Club from 2016 to 2022, died on 3 September.
He made a major contribution to the development of historical reenactment both at Stalin Line and throughout Belarus, and introduced many people to the reenactment movement.
Yuri himself rose through the reenactment ranks from private to captain in the Red Army.
He also took part in First World War reenactments, portraying a private in the Imperial Russian Army.
He also worked on the construction and restoration of various sites at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex.
Yuri’s greatest achievement, however, was raising his two sons and introducing them to historical reenactment.
May the Lord grant rest to his soul.
