‘Heirs of Victory’ Patriotic Camp at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex

On 9 August, the ‘Heirs of Victory’ patriotic camp opened at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex.

 

In addition to pupils from Loshany Secondary School, cadets from the Mikhailovsky Cadet Corps in the Russian Federation will take part for the first time. 

At the complex, the young people will learn about the history of weapons and their role in the development of human society, as well as having the opportunity to put their new knowledge into practice. Training sessions will be held at the Military Vehicle Display, where participants will learn about the general design and maintenance of military vehicles and tanks and will also be able to ride in them. Guided tours will be provided both within and beyond the complex.  The camp programme will introduce the cadets and school pupils to the history of the Pioneer organisation, the insignia and slogans of the Soviet Pioneers, and the atmosphere of the Pioneer movement in the Soviet era. They will all take part in the international ‘Threads of Memory’ forum, which will be held at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex on 13 August.

 

 

Following the camp’s official opening ceremony, a joint prayer was held in the Chapel of the Right-Believing Prince Alexander Nevsky.
