Military Vehicle Show at Stalin Line

On 13 June 2020, the staff of Stalin Line staged a competitive military vehicle show featuring elements of a battle from the Soviet–Afghan War.

Despite the overcast weather, the event attracted a large crowd. The Children’s Playground, trampoline and military vehicle displays proved particularly popular.

Visitors took part in Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) competitions, relaxed in the Airborne Forces Café (VDV), visited the hangars housing operational Soviet and German military vehicles and the “Our Armoured Train” Exhibition, and took many photographs with the heroes of the Afghanistan reenactment — Soviet combat engineers.

The Soviet–Afghan War battle reenactment began at 14:00, followed by the competitive military vehicle show.

The day concluded with the presentation of awards to the GTO winners and a prize shooting competition.

The management of the “Memory of Afghanistan” Charitable Foundation and the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex would like to express their special gratitude for preparing and staging the Soviet–Afghan War battle reenactment and military vehicle runs to
