Combat Vehicle Competition at Stalin Line

On 11 June, ahead of the BMP-1 competition, a reenactment of a battle from the war in Afghanistan took place at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex.

 

 

 





Following the battle reenactment, the BMP-1 competition began, with three crews taking part: two crews of conscripts and a crew of Stalin Line staff comprising career officers now in the reserve.

 


 

 


 

1st Place:

Crew commander: Guards Junior Sergeant Andrei Denisovich STELMAKH

Driver-mechanic: Guards Private Maksim Mikhailovich LOGONENKOV

Gunner-operator: Guards Lance Corporal Artem Vladimirovich KHOLODOK

 

2nd Place:

Staff of the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex

Crew commander: Reserve Colonel Dmitry Grigoryevich VOVK, a 1990 graduate of the Ulyanovsk Higher Tank Command School.

Driver-mechanic: Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Alexei Ivanovich RYABTSEV, a 1985 graduate of the Alma-Ata Higher Combined Arms Command School.

Gunner-operator: Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Vladimirovich AGUREEV, a 1988 graduate of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School.

 

 

3rd Place:

Crew commander: Guards Junior Sergeant Yevgeny Vitalyevich MELNIKOV;

Driver-mechanic: Guards Private Vladimir Dmitrievich SERGEYEV;

Gunner-operator: Guards Sergeant Valentin Alexandrovich POCHTARYOV
