On 22 October 2016, a competitive tank biathlon show was held at the Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus.
Visitors to the complex could have their photograph taken free of charge in front of a banner while wearing a tank crew helmet and holding an AKS-74U, test their skills at the Tank Crew School, take part in tank painting and a tank quiz, or tackle the many challenges in the Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) competition area. The winners were rewarded with a tank ride.
The competitive tank biathlon show began at 14:00. Four crews took part, including one that had finished fourth in the 2016 International Army Games. The show was opened by a Soviet KV-1 heavy tank, recently restored by our team, which fired its gun and machine gun while on the move. The competition then began. The winners were a crew of conscript tankers: tank commander Sergeant Konstantin Viktorovich Potapchuk, gunner Private Maksim Aleksandrovich Dubitsky and driver Corporal Maksim Aleksandrovich Dyomin.
