On 24 December 2022, Father Frost’s Residence opened at Stalin Line for the ninth time.
This time, Father Frost and the Snow Maiden did not arrive at Stalin Line by mysterious means, but instead ordered a ‘taxi’ – a T-50 light tank dating from 1940, recently built at Stalin Line.
As befits such an occasion, our honoured guest – Generalissimo Father Frost himself – was welcomed by our Executive Director and reserve captain, Alexander Metla.

While waiting to meet Father Frost, visitors could ‘knock out’ a German tank, pose for photographs holding weapons and try air-rifle shooting.
Everyone then had the opportunity to meet Father Frost, recite a poem or sing a song and receive a gift in return. There were souvenir photographs, a café serving hot tea and pancakes, and a photo area with a sleigh and horse.
That day, we also welcomed visitors from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
And Father Frost even found time to give interviews!
