Swearing-In Ceremony for Members of the “Soldiers of Victory” Club

On 17 July 2016, members of the “Soldiers of Victory” Club took their oath at Stalin Line.

Before the ceremony, they demonstrated their ability to roll a greatcoat and then, in full kit and in formation, marched off to face their most important test: being overrun by a tank. From a specially dug trench, each participant fired a rifle at a German tank advancing towards them and firing its gun. The participant then ducked down in the trench, allowing the enemy vehicle to pass overhead, and threw an anti-tank grenade at it as it drove away. This test, which came as a surprise to visitors to the complex, was undertaken by people of various ages, including young men and two charming young women.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the monument to G. K. Zhukov. The new members of the “Soldiers of Victory” Club were congratulated by A. M. Metla, Director of the “Memory of Afghanistan” Foundation.
